Fan Jinglian

Fan Jinglian, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Central South University, is Director of Research Institute of Refractory Metals & Hard Alloy,Deputy Director of Hunan Nanomaterials Center and winner of The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Dr. Fan is a professor funded by Chnagjiang Scholars Program and the Ten Thousand Talents Project initiated by the Organization Department; she was entitled “The Backbone Teacher”, “New Century Talent” by Ministry of Education and “The Backbone of Creative Research Groups of National Natural ScienceFoundation”. She holds the roles of team leader in Expert Group of National ITER Tungsten Divertor, fellow of APMI Inter, Consultant of China Tungsten Industry Association, member of China Ordinance Society. Besides,Dr. Fan works as editorial board member of Cemented Carbide and China Tungsten Industry and peer reviewer of several world-famous journals, including Mater Sci &Eng A,J Refra Met & Hard Mater,J Alloy & Compounds and so forth.

Since there are major demands for high-performance tungsten-molybdenum material and technological bottlenecks in cutting-edge technology, Dr. Fan has originally put forward her thought on “Nano-in-situ Composite/Micro-nano Composite”. In this way, she has created a new way to produce nano-composite/nano-composite high-performance micro-structure tungsten-molybdenumrefractory composite material and advanced the technology for producing micro-nanomompositemefractorymungsten and molybdenum material. Due to her research achievements, she has won the second prize(rankingthe first) for State Technological Invention Award one time, the second prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology two times, the first prize and the second prize for Provincial and Ministerial Prize two times. She has 65 national patents and one international patent for her inventions. Dr. Fan has published two academic books and about 300 journal or conference papers at home and abroad.
