Tang Huiping, Ph.D., Professor, doctoral supervisor, is anexpertobtaining special allowance of the State Council and a person selected for New Century Talents Project. She was ever awarded the title of National Expert with Remarkable Contributions.Currently, Dr.Tang serves as the Deputy Chief Engineer of Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metal Research and the Director of National Key Laboratory of Porous Metal Materials. Dr.Tang mainly engages in the research and industrialization of porous metal materials and metal 3D printing.Dr.Tang has presided over the establishment of the State Key Laboratory of Porous Metal Materials. She also services as the team leader of the Metals Group of the Consulting Project of the Development Strategy Study of 3D Printing Materials and Application initiated by the Academy of Engineering.Dr.Tang has been a PI for more than 20 national sponsored research projects respectively funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 Program, the 973Program and military-industrial program. She has been awarded the second prize of National Prize for Technical Invention one time and the first prize of Provincial and Ministerial Prize of Science and Technology three times. Holding66patents for her inventions, Dr. Wang has published 179 SCI papers and 6 books. She was ever invited to report at the academic conference both at home and abroad for 16 times. Two high-tech companies have been set up to commercialize her research findings, the products of which have met the needs of national defense and major civilian projects.
