Karinna M. Vernaza is the Interim Dean and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Gannon University in Erie, PA., where she previously held the roles of Assistant then Associate Professor. Karianna received a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Systems from U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and both her Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Norte Dame.
Karinna has published a number of journals and has been a Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator for National Science Foundation: Scholars of Excellence in Engineering and Computer Science Scholarship Program (SEECS).
She is an active Member of several Professional Society and Boards including, Board of Directors for the Non Profit Partnership, Erie, PA, Board Member for the ASEE North Central Section and Faculty Advisor for SWE Gannon University Collegiate Section (2004-present).
